“When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.””

When has the world proclaimed death over you: You made some big mistakes, your relationship was irreconcilable, you got devastating news, the depression was too heavy? It can seem convincing that it’s true- life is over- you can look at your situation and believe that “this is it”. The world declares it and you are put down in the grave tightly bound by the cloths of death. But then Jesus comes- the Life and Light of the world. He disagrees with the proclamation made over you. He tells you that, in Him, you have life and are filled with the Living Water from Him. Will you believe Him or the world? He says, “_______ , come out!” Rise up! Get out of that grave and tear off those grave cloths that are enslaving you to the lies of hopelessness. Jesus says to COME OUT, LIVE and BE FREE. He offers new life, a fresh start and a hope-filled future. Believe it. Believe Him.
