Spend some time with the Lord first thing today, even if just a minute! He will ALWAYS meet you there! Sometimes when I’m short on time, I read just a verse or two and turn it into my prayer. Read these verses from Isaiah:
“Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.”
Isaiah 33:2
“He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.”
Isaiah 33:6 NIV
Lord, I long to meet with you today, help me to long for you even more. Please be my strength today, especially when my energy and stamina is low. Give me perseverance to face whatever this day may have in store, knowing that You’ve already been there ahead of me and will walk by my side directing me through it. Thank you for being Sovereign, the Creator and All-Powerful, but also my loving Father who is my Love, Protector, Counselor and Salvation. Increase my capacity to know You more and to look to you for wisdom and guidance. Amen.
