The Well

Life is full of unexpected curve balls. We see our problems and they seem big, intimidating, insurmountable. How can this possibly get better? Dear friend, when we have a need, God sees it. He sees us. He knows our worries. He can relate to us because He made us and Jesus faced similar situations during His life. Our issues are not too big for Him and He is more than able to bring resolution. Be thankful even in your struggles, because those struggles are the invitation for you to see the mighty hand of God at work in your life.

In Genesis 21, Hagar was devalued, distressed, and desperate. She thought nobody saw her, but God saw her. She thought they were left for dead, but God provided them life through a well. He used her problem to show her His love and bring a solution. He will do the same for you. When God meets your needs, it is always deeply satisfying and naturally results in increased hope, faith, peace and joy.

We were all spiritually dead because of sin, but God created a solution through Christ: a Well of Living Water that will never dry up: life-giving, soul-satisfying and thirst-quenching water that we can sip on every single day because of His great love for us. Invite God into your situation: ask Him to open your eyes to see the well He has placed within your reach and wait with hopeful expectation that He will quench your thirst.

“With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭21:19‬ ‭NIV‬‬
